Ministers Retain and New Entrants
A smaller executive body called the Union Cabinet is the supreme decision-making body in India. It is a subset of the Union Council. As on 18052023, the following is the list of members:
- Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister and also in-charge of:
- Ministry of Personnel Public Grievances and
- All other portfolios not allocated to any Minister
- Shri Raj Nath Singh, Minister of Defence
Union Ministers like Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and Nitin Gadkari have retained their old portfolios. Among new entrants to the Union Cabinet is former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
