Host venue, dates, and teams
The 2024 EHF European Men's Handball Championship was the 16th edition of the tournament and the third to feature 24 national teams. It was hosted by Germany from 10 to 28 January 2024.
Host cities
The tournament was hosted in eight cities across Germany: Berlin, Cologne, Hamburg, Hanover, Mannheim, Munich, Stuttgart, and Wuppertal.

Format
The tournament was played in a round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the main round. The main round was also played in a round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the semi-finals. The semi-finals and final were played in a single-elimination format.
