Denver Nuggets Vs Timberwolves Playoffs

Nuggets Crush Wolves, Advance to West Semis

Jokic, Smith Lead Denver's Charge

Denver, CO

The Denver Nuggets dominated the Minnesota Timberwolves 117-90 on Friday night to advance to the Western Conference semifinals. Nikola Jokic led the way for Denver with 40 points and 13 assists, while Aaron Gordon added 22 points and 10 rebounds. Karl-Anthony Towns led the Timberwolves with 26 points and 14 rebounds.

The Nuggets took control of the game early, leading by 15 points at the end of the first quarter. They continued to build their lead in the second quarter, taking a 30-point advantage into halftime. The Timberwolves never threatened in the second half, as the Nuggets cruised to the easy victory.

"We played really well tonight," said Jokic. "We were able to get stops on the defensive end and that allowed us to get out in transition and run. We're playing with a lot of confidence right now and we're excited to be moving on to the next round."

The Nuggets will face the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference semifinals. The Suns are the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference and they have been one of the best teams in the NBA all season long. The Nuggets will need to play their best basketball to have a chance to beat the Suns, but they are confident that they can get the job done.

"We're going to have to play our best to beat the Suns," said Gordon. "They're a great team, but we're confident that we can beat them. We're going to go into the series with the same mindset that we had tonight and we're going to give it everything we have."
