Kylian Mbappe Powers PSG to UCL Semifinals, Overcoming Barcelona

PSG Overturned 3-2 First Leg Deficit with 4-1 Second Leg Victory

Mbappe Nets Twice as Araujo Red Card Proves Costly for Barcelona

Paris, France - Paris Saint-Germain has secured a berth in the UEFA Champions League semifinals for the first time since 2021 after completing an improbable comeback against FC Barcelona on Wednesday.

Despite trailing 3-2 from the first leg, PSG produced a dominant performance at the Parc des Princes. Kylian Mbappe, the tournament's leading scorer, was in scintillating form, netting twice to lead his team's charge.

The match turned in PSG's favor shortly after the hour mark when Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo was dismissed for a second yellow card. The Uruguayan's absence allowed PSG to seize control of the game, and Mbappe capitalized with two quick-fire goals in the 64th and 68th minutes.

Nuno Mendes and Lionel Messi added late strikes to seal a 4-1 second-leg victory for PSG. The aggregate score of 6-5 sends the Parisians through to the semifinals, where they will face either Bayern Munich or Manchester City.

For Barcelona, the defeat marks a disappointing end to their European campaign. Despite a strong showing in the first leg, they were unable to contain Mbappe and PSG's attacking prowess in the second leg.
